So yeah, today I got crabs. No— not those crabs… Its pretty neat. I just hope it doesn’t decide to crawl out at night and clip onto my nose or something.
I’ve decided, after everything thats happened in the past 3-4 days that I am going to start keeping a log of every time anybody I don’t know inquires about my height, basketball-playing status, high school sports career, etc. (I’m 6′-7″). I just want to keep track of it because I’m a geek and just want to.
So far, here’s a few of the good ones that have happened in the past week or two…
[1]: at the movies.. two people behind me switched seats because “I cant sit behind that guy, he’s too tall.” Well. I’m sorry that I sat down at a movie I paid for. Get a booster chair.
[2]: at starbucks, this one guy is in there every day, and repeatedly he asks me things such as “hey, big guy.. wanna shoot some hoops? [some stupid shooting-hoops gesture]” or “hey, big guy.. are you related to [insert-basketball-player-name-here] on MSU’s team?” .. or “hey, big guy.. did you see [insert team here]’s game last night?” No, that guy on MSU is not my brother, but Dekembe Mutambo is. [sarcasm]We’re both tall — we must be brothers[/sarcasm].
[3]: The bagel lady. Not only did she withhold $0.01 becuase my change was $6.66, but her and her staff keep commenting repeatedly on my height. They come around the counter and stand next to me, to measure up, and other things.
[4]: At 7-11 this one time, this lady comes up to me and goes “Wow, aren’t you a tall one“. I calmly ignored her and waited for my change. Which prompted “Sheish, don’t have a sense of humor, do ya?” Again, I just ignored her and walked out. It was one of those times that I got to the truck, and came up with some good lines I could’ve used. I don’t remember them now, but it was something about how “[sarcasm]yes, i’m so tall, thats hillarous, you should be a stand-up comedian… you’d make millions[/sarcasm]”
ok. I think thats enough for now. This is getting quite long, and its not like me to do long posts
The moral of the story is .. I got a crab, and yes– I’m tall.. don’t bother me by asking– I always change the height.
I don’t really like my school… I don’t think I’m going to go anymore .. al a Office Space.
So yeah, I think I graduated. We shall soon find out in a few years when UDuMb gets the paperwork all straightened out and finally send me my diploma.
So now I have my B.S. in C.S. and that suits me right because yes, I learned how to B.S. for another 4 years. Every English class, philosophy class, co-op paper, History paper, [insert core class here] paper taught me how to write exactly what the teacher was looking for. Hooray for spending thousands of dollars for the few computer science classes I enjoyed taking. Oh well. Stay in school, sucka’s.
And onto the music. Time to check how many people have found their way to the Featured Audio section. One! and it wasn’t me. Super. Probably a robot/spider/search engine or something.

So, I finally got around to doing something I’ve wanted to do for a while. I put a ‘top 5 on my playlist’ section on the right. It will feature 5 of the albums I’ve been listening to the most in recent times. Hopefully it’ll change … we’ll see.
