the mp3 player I tried to re-write kinda works.
I dont have a sound card in my BSD machine to hear it though.
I tried streaming it out through icecast/shoutcast, and that worked for 1-2 songs.
Then after dinner, I came back to play some more, and it doesnt work now.
To that I say Bah and BAH.
So, I finally took down all the mp3s…. and put up 13 new ones.
I wrote about them because I was bored…
1) Sparta - Echodyne
Sparta consists of something like 3/5 of At The Drive-In. I haven’t given it enough listening time, but I like this song because it has some crazy echoing bass in the beginning.
2) Sparta - Assemble The Empire
My friend Darren pointed out the ending of this song, saying he liked it. After listening, I have to agree that this song is pretty good; especially the ending.
3) Nadasurf - Happy Kid
I picked this song off the album because I couldn’t choose what song to put up and this one won the magical ‘point with eyes closed’ test. This album is pretty mellow, but is nice when wanting to be mellow.
4) Nerf Herder - Mr. Spock
So, I wanted to put up a lucky #13 mp3, so I thought about what I’ve listened to lately and found some Nerf Herder. I like the part in the song that talks about drinking Diet Dr. Pepper. You’ll just have to listen if you want to know what I’m talking about. HA HA HA. ;)
5) The Juliana Theory - If I Told You This Was Killing Me, Would You Stop?
So I picked this CD up a little while ago and was very happy when I did. I like the Juliana Theory, and you should too! :) Anyway, this song is one of my favorites on the album, and so I put it up for yous.
6) Bowling For Soup - I Don’t Wanna Rock
I never heard these guys before, but am liking them. I like the singers voice and so .. yeah. This is the first song off their ablum and it caught my attention.
7) Bowling For Soup - Self Centered
By far my favorite-ist song off this album. Its all peppy & jumpy & stuff. Reminds me of when I liked listening to happy jumpy music. Seems now all I listen to is emo & screaming. This band makes me think I should listen to happier music like this stuff… eh. Nah. :)
8) The Starting Line - Cheek To Cheek
So anyway, The Starting Line’s new album is one of my new favorites, this being one of my favorite songs. The beginning reminds me of a Nintendo-style sound effect added to the beginning of a Deftones song. You’ll know what I’m talking about once you download the song.
9) The Starting Line - A Goodnight’s Sleep
‘You can sleep in your own bed tonight. Sleep away, a Saturday…’
I get that line stuck in my head at weird intervals of the day, and so I have to go listen to this song and relieve myself.
10) The Starting Line - Given The Chance
I like when this song goes from super cool to SUPER SUPER COOL. Its the part where the tempo changes… and then returns shortly thereafter.
11) The Used - Buried Myself Alive
These guys are loud… scream… and have semi-catchy songs. This one is my favorite off the album. ‘Ni-cer-than-that’ at the end sticks in my head…
12) The Used - A Box Full Of Sharp Objects
Theres a part in this song where the first line or two is 100% screamed and I like to play it loud for all the business-men & -women while at traffic lights. They enjoy hearing it as much as I do. ‘Today I fell … It felt better.’
13) The Used - The Taste of Ink
This ones kind of up-beat… in a very loud screaming way…
Again, check this stuff out — they is [sic] one of my new favorite bands.
If you read all of that, I’m amazed. I got A.D.D 3 times while writing it and had to take a break.
Oh this is going to be an angry post. Reader beware.

1) Our Comcast [comcrap, scumcrap, crappycast] is being slower then [insert whitty simile/metaphor]
2) WATCH OUT!! EVERYBODY GET RID OF YOUR GRILLS!! THEY COULD COMBUST. We, along with all 500+ residents at ESSEX AT HAMPTON were forced to get rid of our grills, because they could combust and set the building on fire. Some idiot decided to set his building on fire while grilling ON THE WOODEN 2nd FLOOR BALCONY. Way to go jerk-wad. Now 500 people cannot enjoy the grilling goodness that comes from grilling. Today was the day they supposedly went around and confiscated everybodies grills if they were left out. Whats next, you ask? I don’t know. Maybe we should get rid of our stoves. THEY GET HOTTER THAN GRILLS…. They could also combust. Electricity — theres another thing that could burst into flames if an idiot touches it without supervision. Basically, we are not ESSEX AT HAMPTON. We are now AMISH AT HAMPTON. If it uses electricity, has moving parts, or gets hotter then 100 degrees F, you mustn’t have it on the property. Oh no, I have a fever of 104. THROW ME OUT, I MAY COMBUST AND SET A BUILDING ON FIRE.
So anyway. Next week is the annual ‘Resident Appreciation Week’, and how were they planning on celebrating? LETS GRILL SOME HOT-DOGS! WOOOOOOO HOOOO. Its like a last supper. A slap in the face. Hey, you can’t grill, because you’re stupid & will set your building on fire. We can grill, because WE ARE ESSEX AT HAMPTON. ESSSSSSSSSSEX AT HAAAAAAAAAMPTON. Arugh.
3) I know old people are old, and need lots of attention and care. Boo.
4) Its hotter then be-jeeeze-us. I hate hot. Hot is bad. Hot is hot. UGH.

*sigh* that was refreshing.
Anyway, I put up some new photographs in my gallery thingie. I like foto. Foto is fun.
