Yeah. Definetly shouldn’t stay up till 2am agai—-doh.
The music section has been put back online. And, to start it all off again … a new song from Thursday. This is off their new EP coming out this Tuesday (my b-day, woo). The song is ‘Jet Black New Year’, and if you like Thursday then you’ll like this song. If you don’t know who Thursday is, you should go check it out.
I’ll be putting up maybe 1-2 more songs, but I won’t have 13 on at the same time, like I did before.
And while I post this I’m listening to ‘Jet Black New Year’, I haven’t really listened closely to the lyrics, but they do a whole countdown to the new year, and its pretty darn cool. ‘..Five stories falling … fo[u]rever and ever…’.
I saw the most amusing thing on the way home from work today. This guy in front of me was bouncing all around in his car. It almost looked like the poor guy was having a seizure. I turned down my radio, pulled up behind him, and opened my windows.
I hear quite possibly the loudest scream I’ve ever heard in my life. “PEOPLE TRY TO P-P-P-PUT ME —-DOWNNNNNNNNNN — TALKIN BOUT MY GEEEEEENERATION“. (My Generation, by The Who)
I couldn’t contain myself, and bust out laughing so hard, I’m sure if he were able to see while head-banging, he would’ve noticed me. The lady next to me was enjoying it as well, because she rolled down her windows, and had this weird look on her face too.
The part of Rochester Road I was on always backs up, so I was behind the guy for quite a while at about 2mph. When we started accellerating, I could still hear the guy screaming along with the Who… even over my engine noise.
That guy was almost as loud as any mattadude I’ve ever heard. But not quite.
About 2 weeks ago, I went to the local Barnes & Noble book store, looking for a book. Are We Spiritual Machines?: Ray Kurzweil vs. the Critics of Strong A.I., to be exact. So, a week ago I called them up, asking where my book was. They were clueless. Tonight, I called them up.
Him: Well…….[click-clickety-click]…yep, looks like the order was confirmed on the 2nd but uh.. ….[click-clickety-click] ….hmm…yeah…. [click-clickety-click]
Me: Any idea when it will arrive at your store?
Him: Well…. no, actually. I don’t really know.
Me: Ok. Bye.
Then, I mosey’d on over to amazon.com and ordered it. My guess is I will not hear from Barnes & Noble anytime in the near future. I expect to get my book in the mail in about 3 days from amazon, because they have yet to let me down. (knock on wood).
Thats my story.
