Ten seconds left
until midnight.
nine chances to drown ourselves
in black hair dye
eight faces turned away
from the shock:
seven windows and six of them
are locked.
five stories falling
forever and ever.
three cheers to the mirror.
now there are two of us.
Can we have one last dance?
JET BLACK

Hooray. The calendar changed. Super.

I have to go to the hospital tomorrow for some tests on my stomach. Valerie is making cookies… and I cannot eat them, or anything, after 6pm tonight (3 hours ago).

Water & ice for me till midnight. Boo.

I love holiday shoppers.

Hallmark.

Group of 4-5 kids, probably late high school / early college age are standing in the middle of an aisle talking & randomly looking at junk. This older lady, with grey streaky hair, approaches them and stares.
Oh, I think we’re in the way..‘, says one of the kids and they proceed to move to the side.
Yes, you are!‘, says the lady as she brushes past them.
Sorry about that.‘, says the kid.
Yeah, it’s alright.‘, says the lady increasingly more angered.
Ok, good. Don’t want to get in your way, or anything‘, says the kid beginning to get more and more of a sarcastic tone.
Oh shut up, already!‘, yells the old lady.

I couldn’t help but laugh. I love the holidays.

I also learned two new driving rules during the holiday season.
1) Red lights are just suggestions.
2) Two cars pass through the intersection at stop signs, rather than one at a time.

Bah Humbug. :)

I need to win the lotto.

$31850 would be decent.

$30000 - a nice down payment on a house.
$500 - a high-end Tivo + lifetime subscription
$200 - an XBOX
$200 - a PS2
$250 - random games for the above
$200 - a high-end color printer
$500 - enough to build a new computer

Yep. That would make me happy for a few months, until something bigger & better came along. That won’t happen, so I guess I can just dream.

Saw a band last night. Longwave. They were pretty good live, considering there were about 15 people in the crowd… 5-10 of which were probably either with the band, or there coincidently because it was a bar. The opening band, the Reputation was good as well, and incidently part of a band I have already heard. The lead singer of the Reputation was the lead singer of Sarge, who broke up in 1999. Woo. Anyway, it was good Indie/Alternative, and a good time was had by all (12 of us).

Christmas is coming up soon — I got all my shopping done this year very early. How did I get it done so fast, you ask? Valerie was nice enough to do about 90% of it last Friday. What a nice girl. That left me with shopping to do for her. And me. Yes… I bought myself a present. My dad did it nearly every year — like father, like son. ;)
