I brought home my wireless headphones from work today. Plugged them in. Didn’t have music playing, but was greeted by some SMOOOOOOOOOOOOTH jazz. I bobbed my head a bit to it.. and then played some Glassjaw. I would give anything to see the face of the person on the other end. Probably sitting, reading the newspaper, headphones on, smiling while by the fireplace. Well, no fireplace - fire is bad We were reminded today “no grills, they are a fire hazard.”. Anyway… Sitting, reading the paper, smooth jazz’in it. Then all of a sudden: *fuzz* But I’m sure I’ll go down inside. / I chew the thorn when midnight gets too long / On the feet of a dragon. / Alone in the sun for sticking it in too long. / The seed of a bastard. *fuzz*.

So as mentioned above, no grills this summer either. I was hoping they’d forget. I like my grilled foods. Grr.

New bands today: Plain White T’s and Idlewild. I found Idlewild as the #1 record of 2002 on Sound The Sirens‘ 20 IN 2002 - the top 20 albums of 2002. Sound The Sirens is a pretty cool online music magazine. Woo. I’ve also found a new love for Glasseater. It’s all the screaming good ness plus poppy punk. What more could you ask for? Pfft :)

I bought a new CD yesterday: Don’t Be Scared 2, a Fearless Records comp. Some highlights: Glasseater, Plain White T’s, and Brazil. It was the only CD I could find that I wanted at Record Time. Oh well.

I’m addicted to SSX Tricky. I played 2-3 hours today. I suck, but I’m having fun, so it’s ok.

Not your every day ‘I hate you, Comcast’ rant.

They messed up somehow, and gave me free cable TV this month. I was not charged a single penny. I, being the nice person I am, called and informed them of their mix-up. I don’t want to get charged double next month, or triple the month after, etc. The nice lady on the other end of the phone told me that I should ‘.. not worry about it. Go with it as long as you can.’ I think I was lucky (or not), and hit the disgruntled ‘account executive’. So, I hope they don’t decide to charge me 6 months down the road for $300 worth of cable.

Suburban Home Records (see previous entry) sent me my other Adventures of Jet cd. It rocks harder than the new one. Hooray for Adventures of Jet.

I hate winamp and its inability to play songs randomly. Tonight I have heard ‘Distance from Afar - Why’d You Lie’ about 6 times. Stupid winamp randomization. :)
