So, I was thinking: “Oh, its May. On May 16th, I will listen to May 16th by Lagwagon alot, just to be dumb.” And I thought, that since one of the lines in the song is: “It’s just another saturday”, it would be extra cool if the 16th was on Saturday. Well, its on Friday this year, so thats out. But then I thought “oh, next year its a saturday, cool”. Then I went and checked it out, and no, thanks to leap year, its sunday. It totally misses Saturday. Lagwagon planned it that way so geeks like me had to wait until 2009 to fulfill this mission. Grr.

I bought 5 cd’s today. I am proud. I have to make up for the years of the ‘oh, ill just download it’ mentality.

1. Stairwell - The Sounds Of Change. It reminds me remotely of Weezer and the All American Rejects. The vocals remind me of Harvey Danger, in a way. o_O

2. NOFX - The War on Errorism. I had downloaded it a week ago, but had to buy it because its NOFX, and wanted to see the enhanced cd material. Was well worth the $13.99 or whatever I paid for it.

3. Fall Out Boy - Fall Out Boy’s Evening Out With Your Girlfriend. This is not the Fall Out Boy I have heard on the new album I downloaded (until released, of course). This is a younger Fall Out Boy, who didn’t have the big-label production behind them. Still good, don’t get me wrong.

4. Saddle Creek 50. A 2-CD comp with bands such as Cursive, The Desaparecidos, Bright Eyes, and Rilo Kiley. Good stuff, still havent gotten through it all.

5. The Special Goodness - Life Goes By. A 99cent EP from them. 3 songs, all good.

Weeeeeeeeeeeee. new music.
