Well, last year I remembered to listen to Lagwagon on May 16th. This year it totally slipped my mind, like everything else has been doing lately. I keep forgetting everything I am supposed to do. Oh well, I’ll live.

I did not forget, however, how much I love the Let’s Talk About Feelings album by Lagwagon, and so I listened to it a few times on the way to work on the 17th as well as a few times during the day. I also gave Double Plaidinum a few listens. I remember when I bought that album. I was in high school, out of town at a bowling competition (yes, I was a bowler in high school). I had been looking all over for the CD, and couldn’t find it anywhere. We finally ended up at some random CD shop and I was able to pick it up for $15.99 or something rediculous like that. Well worth it. I can actually remember when I heard Lagwagon for the first time. I was in my basement, doing whatever, listening to music that had been uploaded to my public FTP (on dial-up at the time .. haha). I am still amazed at the fact that people would upload songs to a dial-up account, to then download .. from a dial-up account. The first song that I heard was Alien 8, on Double Plaidinum. I remember thinking, “Woah. Punk. Killer finger-tapping guitar solos. Woah”, or something along those lines.

Today I got a random e-mail from Fat Wreck Chords announcing that the acoutic split by Joey Cape (Lagwagon) and Tony Sly (No Use For A Name) had been released on Tuesday. Six songs by each, 5 old songs done acoustic, and 2 new songs. How rad is that? Totally rad; so I bought it.

Tomorrow is the Thrice/Dashboard Confessional/Get Up Kids/Motion City Soundtrack. It’s supposed to rain .. and it’s outside. I can’t wait. I should get some sleep, after I watch a bit-o-the-tube. I feel no guilt about watching TV before bed, because I woke up at 6:45am and did 20 minutes on my elliptical machine! Woo-ha!

P.S.
Did you catch the dyslexia in last year’s entry? Funny stuff.

P.P.S.
Who are you? Do you read this often? Why do you read? How do you know me? I’m curious who is watching & reading. Leave some comments (even if you know I know you are reading).

P.P.P.S.
I just wrote pee-pee (thrice).
